Praise For Wraith

"Weldon's lively debut...keeps Zoë and her readers off balance with brisk pacing and brain-wrenching plot twists...[She draws] the story to a satisfying close while leaving enough loose ends to set up Zoë's next adventure"/
Publisher's Weekly

New Zoë Martinique Short Story available!

Posted by: Phaedra | Comments Comments Off

I finally did it. Got WEB GINN HOUSE up.

This story first appeared in the DAW anthology, CRIME SPELLS. It covers the introduction of S.P.R.I.T.E. into Zoë, Rhonda and Nona’s lives with the events that happened in the Brentwood home on Web Ginn House Road. Zoë is sent to investigate the house and its mysterious happenings by Maharba on the same night the local Ghost Hunting crew is set up to examine things as well. The good news is Zoë finds the thing responsible for all the hauntings—the bad news is—she’s showing up on S.P.R.I.T.E.’s thermal imager.

Whups.

I hope you enjoy this little pre-quel, after Jason Lawrence came to visit, and before her encounter with Archer.

Native Soil 22 is up!

Posted by: Phaedra | Comments (0)

The last time we left Jason in the present, he’d been spiked to the ground in a field in the dead of night—with a monster drinking his blood. Let’s see…how much worse can it be? Catch the next chapter (though a bit late for the week!) here!

Back on Native Soil…

Posted by: Phaedra | Comments Comments Off

Yep. Chapter 21 is up for Native Soil. I know we left Jason in a pickle—but a quick jaunt back to 1982 reveals a little more of his and the Old Man’s past.

Open House, then back to the computer…

Posted by: Phaedra | Comments Comments Off

Oh yes…the joys of being a parent. Got Open House this afternoon at mini-me’s school. Got the forms filled out, most of the stuff on the list bought. After this, it’s clothes shopping tomorrow — which includes getting her a new pair of shoes.

After that… back to werds. I updated the cover to MIRROR, MIRROR the other day and it’s now making it’s way through Smashwords to distribution. It’s not the fastest way to get it to iBooks, Sony, B&N or Kobo, but at the moment, it’s one of the few ways. That is until those other outlets open their systems to authors the way Kindle did. It’s already available through Kindle with the new cover. And after I finish PROJECT CHESHIRE: BETRAYAL (working title), and then BOOK IV in the Zoe series, I’ll be digging in on Siobhan and Abyssinian. Just gotta love a story between an elf and a vamp.

Next up in the grinder for Kindle will be WEB GINN HOUSE. I’m never sure I’ve spelled that name right. I’ll be getting this, the first Zoë Martinique short story, set up with a new cover for Kindle, and then after that, to Smashwords for distribution.

w00t!

CASTLE quote #3

Posted by: Phaedra | Comments (0)

50 days of CASTLE continues.

Had to once again shorten the full interchange for my tweet. But the full one is here… heh…

“Let me tell you something about crazy people…the sex is unbelievable.”

“How shallow are you?”

Very.”

Native Soil Chapter 20 is up!

Posted by: Phaedra | Comments Comments Off

The next chapter in Native Soil is ready to view here. Things are looking pretty bad—with Nick out of commission, Rhonda laying low, Monet and her temporary partner getting closer—Jason’s up against the Lamia on his own.

CASTLE Quote #2

50 Days of Castle: Counting down to the Season Premiere. Had to shorten this one for the tweet earlier. Here’s the full sentence:

Oh my God. This is quite possibly the worst coffee I’ve ever tasted. It’s actually kinda fascinating—it takes like ah—it tastes like a monkey peed in battery acid—try some?”
