In 1996, I met Dean Wesley Smith at the Southwestern Writers Conference while I was in Albuquerque visiting one of my besties. A year later, I met his wife, Kristine Kathryn Rusch In Taos (and had one hell of a fangirl weekend since I was a HUGE fan of WHITE MYSTS OF POWER), this was also while she was editing The Magazine of Fantasy and Science Fiction.
Without their teaching, their wit, and what we have come to love as The Dean Wave, I would not have discovered my love of writing. Nor would I have even considered that it was possible for me to write Zoë. XD
My teachers are starting a kickstarter for something fun and wonderful, as the former publishers of Pulphouse embark on another editing blast.
Trust me…this is gonna crack you up. And it’ll show why I love flying out to Oregon so damn much…when I can afford it.
Head over to the Kickstarter Page after you stop laughing.. LOL!
