‘ello! Yay, the first edit through the book is finished! This is one of the most important edits where I read it and figure out what’s working. This is about the story structure. Does it hold up? Does it convey what makes up a story? Does it need protective eyewear (for lose plot ends) and does it end where I wanted it to? When I write my brain can only keep up with a limited amount of stuph and this edit allows me to do the checklist of stuph and make sure it goes in there. I’m thinking this will go through about 2 more passes before it gets to the copy editor.

Halloween Story. Well…I discovered today that the poll widget had an update right in the middle of the week, which meant it stopped working and shut down. Greeeat. But so far, it’s Zoë. Remember, if you wanna see a Halloween story then point yer clicker over there and vote for one. If there are ties I will be poopooing it ’cause a tie just puts me back where I was. If there is a winner, a code to download the ebook will be given to the subscribers of the newsletter and it’ll be posted free the last week of October.
New Zoë to be released as a single. When I put Tales of the Abysmal Plane together, I did it so a new reader or long time reader could find all the ancillary stuff in one place. And I wrote a new novella that takes place right after Geist and before Soul Cage to include in the collection. Now that book 6 is even closer to release I think that novella should be available as a separate ebook. Walking Shadow will be up for sale this month as a prelude to book 6. I’ll be announcing it here on the site with links.
Next up, Grimoire Chronicles. This is going to be a pretty fun book to re-assemble. And it’s going to be a whole different story than the first edition, possibly with a new title. If you have the original, keep it. Cause that version is going into the Dioscuri Files. I’m very happy with this new outline and if this all comes together the way I want it to, then this is gonna be a fun series.
Yes. I outline. From the back to the front. It’s taken me 30yrs to figure out my process. Nyah…
Back again tomorrow…
