With what little reserves were left, I scrambled out from under the animal and pressed my back against the bricks. The wolf registered as….familiar. When had I put that description in the parameters of the spell? Did it mean it was really a wolf and because I’m familiar with a wolf that it was…familiar? Or was that a description of what it was? A Familiar. I’d never had one of those before. In fact, I only knew ten Witches lucky enough to be chosen by one.
Either way, it didn’t look like it was going to eat me. At least, not yet.
