Nanowrimo: 6,880 / 80,000

Slower word count this morning. I started re-reading Michael Sullivan’s Riyria Series and I swear, I love these books. So my head was in Fantasy, not Women’s Paranormal. I woke up and started reading and went—Oh! Nano!

But, I got half of a chapter done at 1,780 words.

I actually need to look at the outline tonight and plot out the next few chapters. I’m just about at the inciting incident and it’s not that clear yet. But I don’t want too much “walking to the story” since that’ll probably be cut out, condensed, or reworked before final book. It’s just my opinion that in consecutive books, you need to catch the reader up on what’s happened to the characters since the last adventure.

So I might be doing a double entry on words today to equal my 2,500 daily count.

Nanowrimo: Non Word Day

Yep. No words today.

One of the best pieces of advice I’ve gotten when planning a schedule, is to take a look at the month and cross out those days when you know you won’t get to the computer or be able to write due to anything.

So when I made out this calendar, I put in November 3rd as one of my non-writing days. So what did I do?

Let’s just say, I’d rather have been writing.  :P

Nanowrimo: 5,100/80,000

Yay! Second day (morning) done at my 2,500 a day word count. This is a pace I’m hoping I can keep up with since I now work a full time job. And I still love getting at least a little gaming in a day to relax before bed. I was amazed at how fast I did it. I already had the events of the scene/chapter sketched out, and I wrote it between 5:00am and 6:10am. It just happened.

Now, as we know, the draft I’m writing here, will not be the final product you see. That never happens. At least with me.

WOOT!

Book One is shaping up, but I’m already seeing things in Book Two that I need to go back and put in Book One. I’m hoping to have a title and cover for Book Two up at some point during this month, but not before I put up the cover for Book One.

Here’s to hoping I can keep moving!
